With Galentine’s Day around the corner and girl power at an all-time high, planning an upcoming brunch has now become a thing!

Thanks to our girl Leslie, a whole day has been dedicated to ladies celebrating ladies and were HERE for it.

Now, perhaps you are one of the luckier ladies who’s been asked to organize a Galentine’s Day Brunch… sadly with no idea where to begin?

Sound like you? Well, we’re here to help you and your gals have one easy-breezy, epic brunch. Let’s get started…

Set The Theme for Galentine’s Day

First things first, choose your theme! It may seem obvious for a girly brunch to be well, girly, but only you can decide the type of vibe you’re going for.

There’s no need to feel intimidated either – remember, decorating is half the fun of any event!

TIP: If you’re hosting at home, try to make use of open space with a lot of natural light.

TIP: However, if you’re at a venue, make sure the table has enough space around it for the ladies to move around.

We recommend these as the top themes for your first Galentine’s Day Brunch:

  • The Classic Gold-and-Blush Combo – your ladies can choose to dress up in these colors and blend in with the decor
  • The Rustic Wood-and-Plants Combo – you can opt for more natural elements to fit in with the incoming season
  • The Choose-the-Colors-that-Best-Fit-Your-Home Combo – this works best if your space is almost a theme in itself and you want to highlight its unique features

Ultimately, regardless of your venue, we know whatever theme you choose your Galentine’s Day Brunch will look wonderful!

Choose The Decor

Now you’ve got your theme and you’re on your way to the really fun part… the decorating!

If you’ve gone for the classic combo, then remember to use those hints of blush and gold to really bring that Pre-Valentine’s vibe to the party (see what we did there!).

As Galentine’s Day is a celebration of all things women, we love to use little trinkets to highlight our love for details and cute afterthoughts.

Furthermore, when decorating your brunch space, be sure to have some labels around for your spread… this is including the different drinks, nibbles and most importantly, the names of your guests!

Lastly, finish off with some fresh flowers and fairy lights, and your ladies are in for a real treat!

Prep The Food

With any party, food is something that brings us together, so make sure your food has that WOW factor. We always go for a range of sweet and savoury to meet all our tastes, and it’s usually best to opt for bitesize treats.

Think English High Tea meets American BBQ, and you’ve got that elegance blended with a whole lot of fun!

Side note: It’s always good to have a menu printed, so you don’t have to repeat what’s gluten-free a few too many times throughout the day!

Pour The Drinks

Okay, so the best part has finally arrived! We all know that the perfect #boozybrunch drink is, of course, the Mimosa!

An award-winning crowdpleaser she is, and what a magical way to make sure everyone can enjoy a drink on our beloved Galentine’s Day.

Whether your girls love the classic Champagne & OJ mix… or prefer something a little more fruit-heavy, take comfort in knowing you’ll be able to offer a wide range of choices – complete with little name tags!

This is a really great way to get the ladies interacting and engaging in an activity they can all enjoy. Yay for Mimosas!

Play The Games

As you sink down your little glass of fizz and feel the stress of party-planning wash away…what’s left to do but sit back, relax and enjoy a game or two with your girls?

We’ve got a few good ones up our sleeve, and here they are:

  • Whiteboard Pictionary
  • The “Famous Person” Game
  • Charades
  • Cards Against Humanity
  • A good, old-fashioned Piñata – because who doesn’t love to have a whack at something filled with candy?!

We hope we’ve been able to take the pressure off planning your soon-to-be epic Galentine’s Day Brunch. Let us know below what you think the best part of hosting a Galentine’s Day Brunch is?
