We’ve all heard of charcuterie and cheese boards, but have you heard of a dessert charcuterie board? We didn’t think so! In a nutshell, a dessert charcuterie board is the hottest trend in the hosting world, and our hunch is that it’s here to stay. It’s essentially a sweet version of a cheese board and we’re totally here for it! From fudge brownies to chocolate chip cookies and pretty much everything in between, we show how to create the ultimate dessert charcuterie board – in time for your next event!
What Is A Dessert Charcuterie Board?
So, what is a dessert charcuterie board really? Well, instead of ordering a savory charcuterie board complete with cheese, cold meats, breads, and spreads, a dessert charcuterie board is the exact opposite! With a mix of delicious sweets and treats complete in a very inviting layout, the very premise of a dessert charcuterie board is pure indulgence. It’s also ideal for our hostesses-with-the-mostests as everyone can dig in while you work on the next thing to do!
What Ingredients Do You Need For A Dessert Charcuterie Board?
The ingredients required for a dessert charcuterie board can vary, of course, but the general idea is chocolates, sweets, pastries, and fresh fruit – although it’s very important to aim for a wide variety. With the help of some of our foodie friends, we’ve compiled a handy list for you to refer to on your next shop:
- A wide variety of fresh fruits
- Homemade desserts such as cookies and brownies
- A whole lot of chocolatey treats
- Something salty to balance the sweetness
- Spreads and sauces for dipped
- Freshly brewed coffee, tea and hot chocolate to compliement!
And Convokins!
In our (very humble) opinion, no event is complete without our Convokins. Not only do they provide endless entertainment and easy-to-use conversation starters, but they also look great in any setting!
So, what exactly are Convokins?
Our high-quality, gold-embossed napkins with a range of conversation-starting questions at the ready for every guest. Simply lay the table with one at each place setting, or place a pile of them next to your board. Once everyone’s arrived, get each guest to read out from their Convokins and watch the hilarities commence! Sit back and watch these little napkins bring huge success to your event!
